IT’S ABOUT AS HANDS ON AND EDUCATIONAL AS A CLYDESDALE PROGRAM CAN GET

Think about this ... you, under the guidance of JFP Equine managers Jim & Barclay Poole, throughout multiple sessions, with as much hands-on, interactive experience along the way as you can handle! 

Grooming ... decorating (braiding, etc) ... harnessing ... feeding ... and more … learning from decades and decades of experience along the way, and then putting it all into practice over multiple sessions.

And no more than 1-2 participants per session to maximize your personal Clydesdale time!

The goal? 

A whole bunch of Clydesdale-sized FUN and interaction of course. And enough learning/experience to consider yourself an introductory CLYDESDALE HANDLER by sessions’s end!

How Does The Clydesdale Academy Work?

The Clydesdale Academy is four weeks of once per week, two-hour sessions. Lock in the day/time of the week that works best for you at the beginning of the month and let’s go! Weekday, weekday evenings, or weekends are available. 

This isn’t just pettin’ and snugglin Clydesdales (although there will be plenty of that as well). It’s hands on learning and doing it in a highly individualized setting.

There is no commitment after your first month. Continue with an additional month or months to learn more and refine your skills if you wish!

Is The Clydesdale Academy Just A Kids Program?

Heck no.

Adults who LOVE Clydesdales and who have always wanted to be around them are a perfect fit. 

But is there a minimum age? 

That’s a tough one. We roughly use age 15 as a minimum guideline, however we leave it up to the parents to truly decide if their minor child might be an appropriate fit. 

How Much Does The Clydesdale Academy Cost?

$499 for four, 2-hour, weekly sessions (8 hours total) of highly individualized and very hands-on time and training with JFP Equine and our Clydesdales.

    My visit to JFP Equine for a meet and greet with Clydesdales was an amazing experience. The farm is owned by Jim Poole, former manager of the Budweiser Clydesdales. His son Barclay and daughter- in- law Samantha are on hand to greet visitors and share information about the horses. On the day I went, Barclay introduced us to three of these magnificent horses. We were each able to interact with the horses and there were plenty of opportunities for pictures. Everyone was so nice and happy to answer any and all questions. Don’t hesitate to book your encounter with these gentle giants. Highly recommend.
